Exercise without a change in diet can even be dangerous when aiming for weight loss as it leads to stronger hunger, and people will tend to eat the foods that are familiar to them. It's a complex problem, with changes needed social, economic, and educational models, but in the long term investments will pay off with healthier eating leading to lowered healthcare costs, and a healthier workforce. It’s a very important debate.
